The computer-animated video work, set within the atmospheric space of the Samorín Synagogue,
depicts a future in 2222 where mechanical bodies, bearing headcovers resembling priest figures
of the Abrahamic religions, perform rituals and pray. The narration describes a central intelligence
taking hold of the land, while tethered cables connect the moving robotic bodies to a locus outside the screen space,
suggesting an umbilical link to an unseen processing power. The script addresses human culture as an inductor of violence based on difference,
mentioning how the world discarded humanity as a hurdle in the way of total peace. This central intelligence acts as a homogenization power,
creating a state of "averaged tranquility." The computational systems of 2222 were trained on all accessible data,
including history, human goals, movements and desires. Fragments of gestures remain in this training data,
whose underlying logic cannot be fully grasped by the AI, yet are preserved as hollow shells.
These The sacred movements are performed here ad infinitum.
A great challenge arises in this effectiveness of unquestioned mechanical devotion, yet creates
the possibiliy of becoming the source of posthuman divine providence.
